In Memory of a Once Exceptional Tree

This painting tells the story of a 300 year old Live Oak tree, that was recently chopped down in Chatham County, by Georgia Power due to… infrastructure. I am appalled at the continued value placed on profit over people, plants, and the very earth we call home.

Created entirely out of genuine 24k gold leaf, this once exceptional tree is memorialized in a 36”x48” painting. The canvas is 1.5” deep, gallery wrapped, wired, varnished, and ready to hang.
