Turquoise

This painting is part of a small series I completed on round canvases, studying various polished gemstones in a semi-abstracted way. Turquoise is a stone best known for it's beautiful hue. In the metaphysical world, it is thought to have the healing properties of wisdom, tranquility, good fortune, and hope.

This piece has been completed in acrylic paint, with touches of genuine 23k gold leaf winding throughout. Measurements of the stretched canvas are 24" round, and approximately 1" deep. It is signed on the back and varnished with an archival gloss varnish, wired and ready to hang.
